Florida Atlantic University, College of Engineering Banquet Hall & Food Service 

FAU required a food-service venue and banquet hall to accommodate the needs of alumni, students and the community. To meet the program requirements, the design team created a two-story interior build-out inside the newly constructed four-story College of Engineering building.

COOL DE SAC

Cool de Sac, is a 10,000 SF entertainment theme dining and restaurant facility located in the Dolphin Mall in Miami, Florida.  The concept was to create an energetic, fantasy oriented environment to serve as a venue for parties, entertainment and special events for children. The goal of the design was to offer an alternative environment to the “run of the mill” chain facilities that do not appeal to the manner in which children experience the world and react to each other.  Cool de Sac’s  “Alice in Wonderland meets the Beatles Strawberry Fields” environment encourages children to act freely and interact creatively.

INCAPITAL HOLDINGS

InCapital, a private investment and trading company retained Gallo Herbert Architects and its interior design group to create a design solution to reflect the contemporary technological approach that is the hallmark of success for their business. It was important for the design to convey a progressive company to its clientele and visitors. It was also important the supervisors be able to view and communicate with traders on a real time basis. From these criteria evolved the concept of transparency and total visual collaboration amongst traders, supervisors and management lead to a rich design aesthetic. This transpired into a combination of wood panels, sleek glass, polished metal hardware, mullions, marble, carpet and tile floors. The total image evolves a functional yet futuristic aesthetic.
