Historic Preservation

GHA recognizes that historic preservation creates the bridge from our past to the generations we will never meet. The evolution of our society both culturally and in built form is dependent upon how we respect, preserve and add to the buildings that were once an expression of the society and culture they represented. GHA through the work of its founder and its current leadership has always confirmed its commitment to these principles. Whether guiding the City of Haddonfield, NJ as chair of the Historic Commission (see Rizzoli Press, “Haddonfield Historic Homes”), preserving key landmarks in Tampa, Sarasota and Fort Lauderdale, or spearheading the preservation of key landmarks like Stranahan House and Sample McDougald House, GHA has always been a key leader.
